PLUG: Awesome documentary with George Lucas, Richard Gere and the Dalai Lama
Project Happiness is a documentary about, well, happiness. With the unspoken epidemic of stress and depression infiltrating every community, how can kids (of all ages) learn to generate their own happiness regardless of the situations they face? Follow three groups of high school students from three continents on a quest to understand the nature of lasting happiness. What they discover uncovers the potential for happiness that is in us all. Along the way, they seek the advice from the likes of George Lucas, Richard Gere, and the Dalai Lama. You can catch the trailer below.
If you'd like to review the film, contact Brian Rush at brian@projecthappiness.com, and he'll point you to a download.
Got a Press Release, something to Plug, or a Screener available for review (or some combination of the three)? Ok, don't get all crazy about it. Just click here and give me the details (what, when, where, and a link, for starters) - I'll handle the rest.

LAMB Photoshops #5 Winner and #6
For whatever reason, this contest had the lowest number of votes. I dunno if interest is starting to wan or what. I hope that's not the case cause if you forgot, we are now offering some cool prizes like...stuff!! And things!! (Prizes will be revealed at a later date, but I SWEAR we do have prizes coming up.)
Anyway, the winner of If George Lucas Kept Messing With The Orignal Star Wars is:
John from The Droid You're Looking For
Congratulations! Now on for the next contest. Many people don't know that Sylvester Stallone was in a softcore porn before he made "Rocky". Many people don't know that both Renee Zellwegger (Yeah, I probably spelled that wrong) and Matthew Mc...yeah I'm not attempting to spell that, was in one of the sequels to "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". So what I want you to show us is:
Movies Famous People Were In That Nobody Knows About. Was Brad Pitt in The Goonies? Did Seth Rogen get his start in "Tootsie"? It's up for you to come up with something shocking. Email all submissions to invasionofthebmovies@gmail.com. You have until October 10th at 11:00 PM EST to send them in. Any questions or comments, email them or leave them as a comment.
Thanks and good luck!

Movie of the Month/LAMBcast #85: Bande à parte

Are you ready to get your Nouvelle Vague on? We take a gander at Jean-Luc Godard's 1964 film Bande à parte for the MOTM this time out.For those unfamiliar with it, the plot synopsis from IMDb:
"A triangle: Franz, Arthur, and Odile. Franz, a young man with Alain Delon good looks, has met Odile in an English class. She lives in Joinville with wealthy benefactors and has mentioned to Franz that Mr. Stolz keeps a pile of 10,000 franc notes unlocked in his room. Franz tells his friend Arthur, a swarthy guy whose shady uncle is pressing him for money. Arthur and Franz, who mimic American movie tough guys, case Odile's house, pressure her to assist them with a burglary, and make passes at her as well. She's alternately compliant and distressed. Will they pull off the heist? "First up, the links! Thanks to all of the LAMBs that sent in their posts for this edition of the MOTM.
* Bonjour Tristesse
* Cinema Sights
* Real Reel Reviews
* Southern Vision
* Surrender to the Void
It's also time to vote on next month's movie. I've included many of the choices from last month, but swapped a few out to keep it interesting. You have one week to vote.
As we do every month, the LAMBcast is tied in with the MOTM. This time, we had a great sprinkling of new and old participants - host Dylan was joined by James and MOTM standby Steve, as well as returning-from-hiatus Courtney and first-time LAMBcaster (but veteran podcaster) Fredo, of Film Yarn.
Also on tap:
* Rants and Raves of the Week
* Last LAMB Standing
If you're interested, you too can be a LAMBcaster - we love new blood! For more information on the LAMBcast, check out the topic at the LAMB Forums. Music provided royalty-free by Kevin MacLeod's Incompetech website. Big thanks to Kevin for providing this service. The LAMBcast loves feedback, too. Either here in the comments section or to dylan@manilovefilms.com or to our Facebook page. Also, we're on iTunes, and would still love a review, even if it's a bad one.
Thanks for listening!

PLUG: Man, I Love Films
Hey all,
Kai from Man, I Love Films here. I'm really proud of a recent interview I got to do with character actor Mike Wiles (Magnolia, Fight Club, Breaking Bad). Mike shares some great stories that I think every film fan would like. Here's the breakdown we threw up on the website:
Mike Wiles was nice enough to take time out of his schedule to discuss 25 years of acting in film and TV. As much as he hates to hear it, Mike is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met and he was very generous with us. While I enjoyed the entire interview, my favorite part has to be the stories Mike can tell. So, sit back, relax and listen to Mike talk about how Tom Cruise often gets mistaken for Tom Cruise in grocery stores, how he might’ve had a small chance at playing Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs, how Steven Spielberg has the softest hands he’s ever felt and what’s going on over at Breaking Bad.
As I said, it's a great listen and you can dowload it for free from the MILFcast feed on iTunes or stream it at the link below and I hope you enjoy:

LAMBcast #84: LAMBpardy! (#2)
The LAMBcast's version of America's Favorite Game Show (or is that Wheel of Fortune? Price is Right?) is back! Kai returns as the reigning champion - can he hold his crown against challengers Nick and Rachel? Will a certain famous Bond actor's "appearance" on SNL be referenced? Can Dylan get through the start of a discussion without flubbing his lines? These questions and more will be answered...on today's LAMBpardy!
And yes, just so you know, I plan on making LAMBpardy episopdes a semi-regular feature of the LAMBcast (at least in the short-term), so keep an eye out over at the Forums, since demand to be a contestant is high, and there's a max of three contestants per show.
